Quinta do Pomarinho – Camping & Holiday Homes at Castelo de Vide is an estate in Portugal with a camping where you can either sit back and relax or enjoy an active holiday. The quinta is located in the Alto Alentejo region, on walking distance from the village of Castelo de Vide (5 km) and close to the Spanish border. Quinta do Pomarinho borders the beautiful hills of natural park Serra de São Mamede and our natural camping terrain is even officially located in the park. Our quinta covers an area of 62 acres and offers a special holiday spot for walkers, bikers, nature and culture lovers, bird watchers, artists, and persons that are just looking for some rest. The special atmosphere on our quinta Portugal gives you inner peace and will help you find your inner balance (again).
The Alto Alentejo offers a wealth of nature and culture and also the Alto Alentejo has much to offer to its visitor. In the vicinity of our quinta there are several fortified medieval towns such as Castelo de Vide and Marvão, as well as many Roman ruins and picturesque lakes for swimming and fishing. The adjacent natural park Serra de São Mamede is 50 km long with a summit of 1025 meters above sea level. Next, to pristine nature, the park also has small wild animals and a colony of griffon vultures. Every year we spot many bird species at and around our quinta Portugal.
Our quinta is suitable for individual, adult (18+), guests. Nature is characterized by a diversity of flora and fauna and each season has its own specific characteristics. Camping Quinta do Pomarinho is ideal for longer stays. (This is available upon request/in consultation.) We are open all year round and offer special rates for guests staying at our quinta for longer periods.

The small town of Castelo de Vide, 7 kilometres from Quinta do Pomarinho, is described by the ANWB-guide as the best preserved medieval town of Portugal.

Quinta do Pomarinho is partly located in natural park Serra de São Mamede. Our camping Portugal and holiday homes Portugal are at the foot of the park and offer a beautiful view of the hills.

You can reach Quinta do Pomainho from Lisbon Aiport in 2 hours and 15 minutes bij (rental) car or in 3 hours bij bus.
