At the back of the Quinta do Pomarinho campsite is the common area for our guests, which was named “the Taberna” after it opened in mid-2019.
In/near the Taberna you can enjoy the beautiful view of our inland lake and the mountains of the Serra de São Mamede nature park.
The Taverna has free WiFi, a bar where you can enjoy coffee, tea, an (alcoholic) drink or something tasty (snack) for a fee.
Our guests can cook for each other in consultation and then eat together.
A good example is the Christmas Eve dinner where guests prepare starters, main courses and desserts upon registration and then eat them together. All this in a relaxed, cozy atmosphere. On New Year’s Eve we serve oliebollen, apple turnovers and toast the new year with champagne at midnight. Whether you come to read a book, have a drink, use the internet or eat something, a visit to the Taberna is definitely worth it during your stay at Pomarinho! Finally, the following: the Taberna does not have/is not a restaurant. For this you can go to one of the many restaurants in the nearby town of Castelo de Vide.
