With a caravan to Portugal

Visiting Portugal with a caravan is a great way to discover and experience Portugal’s diverse nature up close. Quinta do Pomarinho offers excellent facilities and spacious locations for caravans. For us, camping is really about relaxing and finding peace, space, and freedom. Our natural campsite is located close to the Spanish border, in the middle of the Serra de São Mamede Natural Park.

You can park your caravan among the olive trees. All pitches offer beautiful views of the surrounding hills of the nature park. On clear days, you can also see the peaks of the Serra de Estrela mountains. In the evening, you can enjoy the truly beautiful starry sky.

There are a total of 25 camping pitches for your caravan, camper van, or tent, with electricity as an option. Due to the small size of Quinta do Pomarinho campsite, you can be sure to find the atmosphere and tranquility you need for a relaxing vacation in the middle of nature in your caravan.

With the caravan to Portugal: Northern Portugal

The north of Portugal is the greenest and according to many the most traditional region of the country. There are many religious festivals and there are many national parks with mountains, rocks, rivers and lakes. The river ‘Douro’ goes through deep valleys full of vineyards and also flows through Porto, the home port of the Port. The quiet coast offers many beautiful, deserted beaches.

Camping Convívio is located on a slope full of forests and terraces in the Minho valley. Numerous sporting activities are possible in the region and the nature parks are also within reach of the campsite. There is a saltwater swimming pool and a restaurant. The Dutch owners are Bing & Gea Mulder.

With the caravan to Portugal: Beiras (central Portugal)

In the province of Beiras lies the Serra de Estrela Natural Park with the highest mountain in Portugal, the Torre. The region offers beautiful nature, green hills and many rivers. The region also has a lot to offer in terms of culture, including the old university town of Coimbra, medieval forts, baroque churches and Moorish castles. On the coast you will find good windsurfing spots, fishing places and quiet sandy beaches.

Camping Quinta das Cegonhas is located in the middle of the Serra de Estrela Natural Park. The campsite offers spacious pitches on a site with terraces. You will find peace, comfort and privacy and great opportunities for walking. With a swimming pool, restaurant, breakfast and bread service. The Dutch owners are Rieke Mariën en Gerard Duis.

With the caravan to Portugal: Alentejo

The Alentejo is a relatively sparsely populated region with rolling hills full of vineyards, fields, olive trees and cork oaks. You will find peace, space and nature and also a lot of cultural-historical heritage in historic cities and medieval fortress villages along the Spanish border. The coast with its azure blue sea seems like a tropical paradise with quiet bays and white sandy beaches.

Our own Quinta do Pomarinho is located in the northeast of the Alentejo. Our small-scale campsite offers very spacious places for a Portugal caravan with a beautiful view of the adjacent nature park. With excellent walking and cycling opportunities and a meeting place called “De Taberna.” The Dutch owners are Marcel van Rossum en Carolien Bal

Camping Serro da Bica is located in the southwest of the Alentejo. The campsite offers spacious places on terraces with a beautiful view. The campsite is on a river and close to a large reservoir. With a log cabin bar and terrace. The Dutch owners are Miranda en Menno van Dijk.

With the caravan to Portugal: Aboboreiras, Tomar

Camping Pelinos is located in the center of Portugal close to places to visit such as the medieval city of Tomar, Nazaré and Coimbra. You can cool off in the campsite’s swimming pool (with terrace) or in the beautiful lake Castelo de Bode. Restaurant within walking distance and …. fresh bread every morning. The Dutch owners are Rémy & Esther.
