By car or rental car

You will reach Quinta do Pomarinho in the following ways by (rental) car:

From the west (Lissabon) head off the IP2 at Alpalhão and towards Castelo de Vide. Turn right just before Castelo de Vide (straight on is the EN 246-1) and take the EN 246 towards Portalegre and follow it for another 3300 metres.*

From the north (Castelo de Branco) head off the IP2 at Alpalhão and towards CAstelo de Vide. Turn right just before Castelo de Vide (straight on is the EN 246-1) and take the EN 246 towards Portalegre and follow it for another 3300 metres.*

From the east (Spain/Marvão) follow the signs Lisboa. Drive through Castelo de Vide and follow Lisboa again until you have passed the Galp gas station. Later on the highway, the EN 246, take a left towards Portalegre and follow it for another 3300 metres.*

From the South pass the turned off Portalegre and follow the EN 246 and take the access road after about 13 kilometers*

* At kilometre marker 16,5, located between two bus stops, turn into the access road. Here you will find a large blue sign with "Pomarinho" on it. Head up the driveway to the left of you after 300 metre, parking is to your right, and follow the signs saying recepcão.

Car rental

Of course, you can also reach Castelo de Vide with a rental car. The distance from the cities below to Castelo de Vide are:

• Lisbon, 225 km.
• Porto 336 km.
• Faro 400 km.
• Sevilla (Spain) 336 km.
• Madrid (Spain) 430 km.

We work together with the reliable Car hire 3000. You can rent a car from them at an airport or in Portalegre (12 km.). At the end of your holiday you can return the car in Portalegre or at an (other) airport.

With a valid credit card you can reserve a card via the internet. When picking up the car, you have to have the same credit card that you booked it with.
